The original Dirty Cowgirls, creators of cowpunk, cultish and critically acclaimed performers on the international music scene,

The Well Oiled Sisters took the world by the throat and more sensitive regions in the nineties and naughties, wowing crowds in the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, deservedly gaining the reputation of the best bad gurrl live act on the planet.

With their entirely original nosebleed country thrash and bittersweet love laments, the sisters play with an irreverence and an uncompromising attitude that reflects the tough and tender Scottish landscape where the girls all hail from.

Touring with WOMAD, headlining at festivals worldwide, and sharing stages with such legends as Archie Roach, Paul Kelly, Pete Burns and The Pet Shop Boys to Van Morrison, Suzanne Vega and The Village People, The Well Oiled Sisters released two revered CDs and were prolific on BBC TV and BBC radio, Channel 4, ABC and countless other media outlets. Currently, one of their YouTube videos has had over a million views, demonstrating that the mass appeal of the band endures.

A unique phenomenon, The Well Oiled Sisters returned for a heady tour in 2018, performing to fans at the iconic 100 Club (sold out) and WOMAD, amongst other prestigious venues.
